detector.guru 1.4.0 makes the image-checking workflow clearer and more consistent on larger screens. The release keeps the existing mobile experience while giving desktop uploads, analysis states, and results the space and hierarchy they need.

A more intentional upload experience

The detector now uses a responsive gallery for selected images, with consistent card sizing for one or many uploads. The desktop drop zone uses the available container width, while queued, uploading, ready, analyzing, and error states share the same component language. Known upload problems show specific guidance; unknown failures use a clear retry path without inventing a cause.

Clearer analysis feedback

During analysis, stages and contextual guidance now read as one coherent flow. The supporting information appears before the progress stages, so users can understand what is happening without losing the main task.

Results built for scanning

Result cards and the standalone result page now give the image, verdict, score, evidence, and actions a clearer visual hierarchy. Standard and Deep Analysis results use the same underlying design system, and completed desktop results avoid decorative progress bars that no longer communicate active work.

Safer pending-image cleanup

Dismissed prepared-image batches are now removed through an authenticated, batch-scoped database operation. The operation validates the signed-in user and the batch state before deletion, and it avoids touching completed or running analyses.

A note on AI-image detection

AI-image detection is probabilistic. Compression, editing, screenshots, and new generation methods can affect a score. Treat a detector.guru result as one signal alongside source context, provenance, and human judgment—not as proof of an image's origin.
